Heritage Park Museum of East Texas

The museum is a 501c-3 organization and operated by the members of the organization. It was founded in 1976 as a bicentennial ongoing preservation project.

The mission of the Heritage Park Museum is to preserve and promote the cultural and architectural heritage of rural East Texas through authentic exhibits in the museum. The museum also provides educational resource to regional schools which nurtures a greater appreciation of our ancestors and their roles in our heritage.

Funding is provided by through donations, grants, dues, memorials, school tours, the First Monday Trade Days parking in Canton, Tx,. and the annual Edgewood Heritage Festival held on the second Saturday in November.
